Tu-wit to you all! My name is Tommy, and I am the Tawny Owl at Totnes Rare Breeds Farm. Despite my name, I am a female Tawny, and so I twitter. (If I were a male I would say 'tu-wu'.) From my post at the farm entrance and my aviary at the top, I keep an eye on all that happens at Totnes Rare Breeds, and keep you updated. Since us owls are very efficient, I deliver my news in beak-sized chunks: no more than 140 characters each time. What a very trendy bird I am! Mione the screech owl is quite jealous - but you wouldn't catch her twittering.

-
Richard Austin is now arriving at midday on Sunday, not 1pm as previously arranged. Also, he's booked to appear on CBBC, so v famous.
-
Only three days now before our photography day. I'm a little worried as I seem to be moulting: I don't want pictures of a bald me!
-
There's a lovely Bank Holiday atmosphere here. Lots of chilled people enjoying the occasional sunbeam and avoiding the traffic.

Our fluffy baby guinea pigs are quickly finding new homes. Many thanks to the family who sent in a pic of their new pets enjoying a carrot.
-
V exciting news: acclaimed 'Animal Magic' photographer Richard Austin is booked to lead our Photography Day on 5th Sep. More news to follow.
-
Charlie, the new stud goat, has been moved out of the pen he shared with the girls, because he's starting to get a bit amorous.
-
From my aviary I can see Alex the baby goat racing round in the dark. He has learned to jump onto the duck pen and out of the pygmy paddock.
-
Regicide in the hive! A group of workers were seen carrying a dead queen. This may confirm the existance of a jealous live one.
-
Palava about a cycle path the council want to build past the farm. Nice theory, but everyone worried about keeping the animals safe at night
-
Or possibly Robertas.
-
The volunteers have named our bees. They're all called Bob (so our hive will be hand built by Roberts).
